Huckabee on Trump in Gettysburg: 'It's American vs. American' Today Too

Retired neurosurgeon and former Republican presidential candidate Dr. Ben Carson joined Uma Pemmaraju on America's Election HQ to give his reaction to Trump's Gettysburg policy speech.

"Americans will be voting for this 100-day plan to restore prosperity to our communities...and honesty to our government," Trump said in his remarks.

"I think he knows that we're down to the crux now," Carson said, "I'm glad he's beginning to talk this way."

"This election is not about Democrats and Republicans, it's about the status quo and political class versus 'we the people'," Carson said.

"I have great faith in the wisdom of the American people, [and I doubt] they're as simplistic ...as the political class thinks they are," he added.

Carson also said that some surveys of voters may not properly account for Trump's public support because some respondents are "reluctant to say Trump, because they do not want to be branded a 'racist'."
