Chicago Woman Fights Off Bedroom Rapist with Beer Stein and Crowbar
This is one tough grandma!
A 58-year-old Chicago woman used a beer stein and a crowbar to fight off a man who broke into her home in the middle of the night and tried to rape her.
Angela Ferguson was asleep Monday when the man slipped in through a window that didn't have a working lock. Ferguson awoke to find her attacker on top of her in her bed.
"Don't look at me b****, I'm the grim reaper," she recalled him saying, as he demanded sex and struck her in the head and face repeatedly.
Ferguson said she was able to reach a beer stein on her bedside table and started striking the man in the head.

"When I kept hitting him, hitting him, he wouldn't give up. He wouldn't give up. I kept beating him, and seen blood everywhere. They say he had to have three surgeries on his head," Ferguson said.
The suspect would not give up though, breaking the door down to try to attack Ferguson again. At that point, she had grabbed the crowbar that she stashed under her bed and delivered a knockout blow.
With the suspect unconscious, she called 911, though she said she had to place three calls before police arrived at her residence.
30-year-old Dorval Grice, a longtime neighbor, was arrested and is charged with home invasion and aggravated criminal sexual assault.
