Fiery Gingrich on Undercover Video of Dem Operatives: 'Where is the FBI?'
FAIR AND BALANCED... Don't miss the final presidential debate, moderated by Fox News' Chris Wallace, on Wednesday, October 19th at 9:00pm ET on Fox News Channel!
Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich joined Sean Hannity to discuss hours of undercover videotape released by James O'Keefe's Project Veritas, purportedly showing Democratic operatives working to undermine Donald Trump's presidential campaign through violence and voter intimidation.
Fox News has not officially authenticated the content of the recordings.
"We also now have actual checks cut by the campaign to one of the operatives," Gingrich said on Hannity.
"Where is the FBI, why is the FBI not investigating this?" he asked, "You have a deliberate willful effort to foment violence, to break up a presidential campaign [and] to intimidate voters."
Gingrich said current House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) should also call for a federal investigation.
"I know [FBI Director Jim] Comey's in the tank for Hillary but he has some obligation to enforce the law and the FBI should be opening up an investigation...right now," Gingrich said.
"It's amazing how fast the Obama administration could get FBI agents to variety of place that fit their agenda--this is not about politics...this is about a fundamental threat to our democracy."
