FAIR AND BALANCED... Don't miss the final presidential debate, moderated by Fox News' Chris Wallace, on Wednesday, October 19th at 9:00pm ET on Fox News Channel!

Frank Luntz appeared on "Fox and Friends" this morning to preview Wednesday's presidential debate and offer his advice for Donald Trump.

Luntz noted that a major issue for voters is wasteful government spending, so Trump must present a "forensic audit" of the federal budget.

"Only a businessman like Trump could do a forensic audit, point by point, program by program, with genuine accountability," Luntz.

Second, Luntz said, Trump should announce who he would appoint to key positions like secretary of state and secretary of defense.

"Number three, he needs to talk about Hillary Clinton in terms of more than three decades in Washington, D.C.," Luntz said. "'Did you get the change you want? Did you get the change you deserve?'"

Fourth, according to Luntz, he must pivot away from allegations of sexual misconduct.

"He's not winning when he's defending. He needs to move off of that."

Lastly, Luntz said, he needs to present himself as the candidate of change, the one to shake up Washington to its core.

"You do all five of those points, and he wins the debate and he may win the election."
