A local journalist was attempting to do a live broadcast from the San Diego Zoo when a gregarious giraffe decided to playfully interrupt her shot.

In the video above, the giraffe nuzzles CBS-8 reporter Ashley Jacobs, backs away briefly, then decides to say hello once again.

Back in the studio, her stations two anchors couldn’t contain their amusement at the situation, laughing and joking with Jacobs.

Jacobs was at the zoo to report on the park’s “Food, Wine & Brew Celebration” being held this weekend to help save animals’ lives across the globe.
