Hayes: WH Giving Americans 'False Sense of Security'
Stephen Hayes says that the White House - from President Obama down - has downplayed the threat of domestic terrorism and attacks in the U.S.
He said that whether it's the "isolated extremist" who tried to bomb Northwest Airlines Flight 253 in 2009 or the "lone terrorist" behind the 2010 Times Square car bombing attempt, Obama has intentionally avoided terms like "radical Islam" or "jihadist."
"You've seen an intentional effort, I think, to downplay the threat, particularly as it relates to attack or attempted attacks with international ties or potentially connected to known terrorist groups," Hayes said.
"I think the administration and others have given some Americans a false sense of security, and I think it's dangerous."
