Hillary Clinton was asked this morning at a press conference if recent attacks - like what occurred in New York City over the weekend - will help Donald Trump in the 2016 race.

Clinton said it's actually the opposite, because her opponent's immediate reaction to such incidents is to speak before he has the facts and spread anti-Muslim propaganda.

She argued that "gives ISIS exactly what it's wanting" by making the enemy into the entire religion of Islam, as opposed to a small number of actual violent Islamists.

"We know Donald Trump's comments have been used online for recruitment of terrorists," Clinton said. "The kinds of rhetoric and language that Mr. Trump has used is giving aid and comfort to our enemy."

She added that she's the only candidate who has actually been in the Situation Room and made tough decisions about how to combat terrorism.

She said she's prepared to take on those challenges as president, not just throw around "irresponsible, reckless rhetoric" like Trump.

"You don't hear a plan from him," Clinton said. "He keeps saying he has a secret plan. Well, the secret is, he has no plan."
