A new Bloomberg poll finds Hillary Clinton trailing Donald Trump by five points in the all-important swing state of Ohio, while Nate Silver said today he now sees the overall race as "highly competitive."

The new Ohio poll comes on the heels of other surveys which have shown the race tightening in recent weeks.

Meantime, one of the leading election prognosticators now gives Clinton a 66% chance of winning on November 8. Just a few months ago, Nate Silver's FiveThirtyEight data showed an 80% chance for Clinton.

Silver also explained that the media don't seem to be characterizing the race as the "toss-up" that it really is.

On America's Newsroom this morning, Fox News political experts Ed Rollins and Doug Schoen agreed that the race is "deadlocked" right now.

Rollins predicted that Clinton's "basket of deplorables" comment will continue to hurt her with voters, moreso than Mitt Romney's "47 percent" comment in 2012.

"[The comment] will linger. I promise you," he said.
