CNN's Christiane Amanpour on Monday weighed in on the media coverage of Hillary Clinton's health problems, declaring that criticizing the Clinton campaign’s lack of transparency is sexist.

"Can’t a girl have a sick day or two?" Amanpour asked. "Don’t get me started, because when it comes to overqualified women having to try a hundred times harder than under qualified men to get a break, or even a level playing field, well, we know that story."

On "Outnumbered" today, Guy Benson said that Amanpour's defense of Clinton was "spectacularly hack-tastic."

"It is amazing to me that she attempted a spin on Hillary's behalf that her own campaign didn't even ... try," Benson said. "They admitted they should have been more transparent."

"And here's a journalist making excuses that they shouldn't have been that transparent and transparency isn't an issue."
