A man allegedly attempted to abduct a child at a Massachusetts grocery store, and it was all caught on surveillance camera.

The chilling video shows a shirtless man, later identified as Stephen O'Brien, grab a one-year-old child at the Braintree supermarket and carry him down the aisle.

The boy's parents initially thought the man was an employee, but the father chased after him when he saw him heading for the back door.

When the father confronted the suspect, he unhesitatingly handed the toddler over, patted the dad on the back of the head and walked out of the store.

When the police arrived shortly thereafter, O'Brien struggled with officers but was eventually taken into custody and charged with kidnapping.

He was arraigned and is being held on a $100,000 cash bail.
