Dem Senate Candidate: Scalia's Death Came at a 'Good Time'

Nurses at separate Florida facilities came together to give a couple married for 60 years a priceless gift.

The staffs at Florida Hospital North Pinellas and Bayonet Point Regional Medical Center, near Tampa, worked together to make sure an elderly woman would be able to spend her husband's last moments by his side.

The woman, identified only as Mrs. Forester in the FOX 13 story, injured herself while on her way to visit her very sick husband at the Pinellas hospital.

When her nurse at Bayonet Point in Hudson learned what had happened, she called the other hospital to coordinate an ambulance ride - which was generously provided free of charge - to bring the woman to her husband.

In a letter, the Forester family said the couple had never spent more than a day apart and were the "epitome of living for each other."

They wrote that "Nana got to have her last moments with our Pappy…the sweetest man you'd ever meet. He acknowledged Nana with the squeeze of his hand. Pappy passed away 48 hours later."
