Here's What Krauthammer Thinks Was the 'Most Astonishing' Line of the DNC
Charles Krauthammer joined Bret Baier tonight to preview Hillary Clinton's big speech at the Democratic National Convention and reveal what he's found to be the "most astonishing" line of the DNC thus far.
Krauthammer said that line came in President Obama's speech last night, when he suggested Donald Trump threatens American values in the same ways Islamists or foreign dictators do.
"That’s why anyone who threatens our values, whether fascists or communists or jihadists or homegrown demagogues, will always fail in the end," Obama said.
Krauthammer acknowledged he's not a big fan of Trump, but he also wouldn't compare the Republican presidential nominee to Hitler, Stalin or bin Laden.
"Trump represents the antithesis of what [Obama] does in his own mind," Krauthammer said. "He really is going to throw his weight into this election."
Krauthammer added that Clinton's embrace of President Obama in her speech tonight is "utterly inevitable."
"When you've been a member of the cabinet ... to a sitting president and you want to succeed him, there's no way that you can actually loosen the embrace," Krauthammer said. "So you might as well ride with it."
