Gutfeld: If This Is 'Progress' in the War on Terror, Imagine What Failure Would Be
Greg Gutfeld criticized the State Department for saying that recent ISIS attacks are signs of desperation.
Since Secretary of State John Kerry said a week ago that the bombing of Istanbul Ataturk Airport was a sign that ISIS was "desperate," there've been more ISIS attacks in more places, including the deadliest attack to rock Baghdad in years.
And yesterday, the deputy secretary doubled down on that statement, saying that the attacks were ISIS "lashing out" and "a measure of the success we're having in taking their territory away from them, taking the foreign fighters away, taking the resources away."
Gutfeld said it seems like the State Department is "whistling in the dark - seeing the widening scope of terrorists and the self-activation of sleeper cells as a sign of success."
"If that's 'progress' in the war against terror, imagine what 'failure' would be," he said.
