Statistician Nate Silver is predicting that Hillary Clinton has a nearly 80% chance of beating Donald Trump in the general election.

The FiveThirtyEight editor-in-chief compared the race to a football game, saying that Clinton is leading by a touchdown or more going into halftime.

“We’re kind of at halftime of the election right now, and she’s taking a seven-point, maybe 10-point lead into halftime. There’s a lot of football left to be played. She’s ahead in almost every poll, every swing state, every national poll.”

However, he said there is precedent for a trailing candidate to come back: the 1988 loss of Democrat Gov. Michael Dukakis to George H.W. Bush.

Silver predicted 49 out of 50 states right in 2008, and all 50 in 2012.
