LOOK: Mom's Photo of Pre-Schooler Standing on Toilet Goes Viral
— Fox News (@FoxNews) June 22, 2016
A photo of a little girl standing on a toilet has gone viral in the past week after her mother explained the heartbreaking reason behind it.
Stacey Feeley said she initially snapped the photo thinking it was cute and was going to send it to her husband.
But she said she broke down in tears when her three-year-old daughter told her that she'd been taught this at her preschool as part of a lockdown drill.
The Michigan mom said that her daughter's preschool conducts drills so the kids will know what to do if a gunman enters the building.
Such training was stepped up at schools following the Dec. 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre.
Feeley posted the picture as part of a plea to politicians to enact new gun control laws.
Politicians - take a look. This is your child, your children, your grandchildren, your great grand children and future generations to come. They will live their lives and grow up in this world based on your decisions. They are barely 3 and they will hide in bathroom stalls standing on top of toilet seats. I do not know what will be harder for them? Trying to remain quiet for an extended amount of time or trying to keep their balance without letting a foot slip below the stall door?
I am not pretending to have all the answers or even a shred of them, but unless you want your children standing on top of a toilet, we need to do something! Please share. #dosomething #prayfororlando #wecandobetter Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America.
