Neil Cavuto Undergoes Open Heart Surgery
UPDATE: Neil will return to the air on Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network on Tuesday, September 6th.
Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network anchor Neil Cavuto underwent open heart surgery on Monday and is expected to return later this year.
Fox News said in a statement that Cavuto, 57, "came through it with flying colors."
“Knowing Neil, he’ll be back as soon as he can, but he is slated to return to hosting his three programs on Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network later this year. Everyone here is wishing him a speedy recovery," the statement read.
Cavuto has spoken openly in recent years about being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1997.
Cavuto serves as senior vice president, anchor and managing editor of business news for both Fox News Channel (FNC) and Fox Business Network (FBN). He anchors FNC's Your World (weekdays 4:00-5:00pm ET) and Cavuto on Business (Saturdays 10:30-11:00am ET), along with FBN's Cavuto: Coast to Coast (weekdays noon-2:00pm ET).
