Parents Punish Son by Making Him Stay in a Tent in the Backyard
Here's an unusual parental punishment that has people divided.
A mom and dad in New Mexico are punishing their 16-year-old son by making him stay in a tent in the backyard.
Jacob and Angela Boggus say that they simply ran out of ways to stop their son from stealing from them, according to KRQE.

“We’re not doing anything wrong here. We’re simply trying to teach our child a lesson,” Angela Boggus said.
“If he doesn’t learn that now, it’s gonna be the whole world’s problem, not just ours, in a couple of years,” the father added.
They explained that while the boy stays in the tent during the day, he gets food and water and is allowed to come in the house to use the bathroom. At 9 p.m. each night, he goes inside to sleep.
They revealed the teen is two weeks into his month-long punishment.
Neighbors have reported the family to the Valencia County Sheriff’s Department and the New Mexico Children, Youth and Families Department, but deputies say they don’t see anything illegal about the punishment.
