On Episode 2 of "Legends & Lies: The Patriots" the true story of Paul Revere's famous ride was told in riveting detail.

As the British army began an overnight march toward Concord, Revere slipped out of Boston to warn Sam Adams and John Hancock, who were in Lexington, of the danger.

Bill O'Reilly noted that Revere was actually not alone on his ride and that his journey took an unexpected and often-untold turn.

Revere was intercepted by a group of British soldiers, who demanded to know his mission. Watch the clips of last night's episode above and below.

The second season of the hit docu-series Legends & Lies brings you the stories behind the American Revolution, as they really happened.

On next week's episode, Benjamin Franklin - Inventing America, you'll see Franklin's return to America from Great Britain. Amid accusations that he's a traitor, he is eager to prove himself to his fellow patriots.

Soon, the elder statesman becomes the strongest voice for revolution in the Continental Congress, and when George Washington takes command of the ragtag Continental Army, Franklin heads a secret committee to prepare the fledgling army to take on the most powerful military force in the world.
