"Duck Dynasty" patriarch Phil Robertson is weighing in on the controversy surrounding North Carolina's transgender bathroom bill.

In an email with Citizens United, Robertson wrote that he has a "radical idea" to help resolve the debate.

"Men should use the men’s bathroom and women should use the women’s bathroom," Robertson said in the email. "Just because a man may 'feel' like a woman doesn’t mean he should be able to share a bathroom with my daughter, or yours."

"That used to be called common sense. Now it’s called bigoted."

Robertson continued, "The Judeo-Christian values that led America to greatness are under full assault by the mob mentality of political correctness, and we’re slowly losing our soul."

The email included a link to StandTallWithPhil.org, which asks for donations to help support a "Speak Freely" campaign to support religious freedom.

Robertson also announced this week that he will "enthusiastically" support Donald Trump in the 2016 race, despite endorsing Ted Cruz four months ago.

Robertson's son Willie endorsed the billionaire businessman earlier this year and has even appeared with him at several campaign events.
