A woman in Georgia says her 5-year-old grandson with special needs was forced into a bizarre and disturbing punishment by his schoolteacher.

On Thursday, the principal at Rockdale County’s Shoal Creek Elementary School found the little boy hanging by a belt from a blackboard, says Tracy Davis.

“He was in distress because he was screaming and hollering,” she told WSB-TV.

“I don’t want those teachers to ever have the privilege to teach again.”

Even worse, investigators who later spoke to the boy learned that this wasn’t the first time he was subjected to such punishment, Davis said.

Talking to her grandson, she said he only told her he was sad.

“He was scared, he was only 5, and he's hanging from the top of a blackboard,” Davis said.

The school district says they are taking the incident “very seriously” and “conducting a full investigation.”
