Murder of 8 Ohio Family Members Was 'Pre-Planned Execution,' Says AG
The brutal shooting spree of eight Ohio family members on Friday “was a pre-planned execution,” said the state’s attorney general.
“It was a sophisticated operation,” Mike DeWine said at a news conference on Sunday. “And those who carried it out were trying to do everything that they could do to hinder the investigation and their prosecution.”
The Rhodens were all shot in the head on four rural Ohio properties. A motive is not currently known for the killer, whose victims ranged in ages from 16 to 44.
Since the gruesome murders, more than 100 tips have been called in.
As of Sunday evening, police had conducted around 50 to 60 interviews and gathered 18 pieces of evidence, Bryan Llenas reported.
Three marijuana growing operations were also found in three of the four homes, but officials did not say whether they had any bearing on the case.
