Today is Tax Day, a day to remember what government spending is all about, says Greta Van Susteren.

“This is the day we’re reminded that our government wants your money, yet doesn’t give a damn about waste and fraud,” she said in her Off the Record commentary. 'It's just gimme, gimme, gimme, gimme."

The On the Record host slammed the current tax code, saying that it “doles out hundreds of billions of dollars through loopholes and special deals to special people, people like lobbyists who have wads of dough in their wallets to schmooze all of Washington.”

We all know that Congress doesn’t care about the tax code, said Greta.

And meanwhile, our commander-in-chief is “asking for a raise!”

While President Obama has yet to alleviate the burden on Americans after his nearly eight years in office, he has called for an 18 percent increase in spending on former presidents, Greta noted.

“It's just gimme, gimme, gimme, gimme.”
