Trump and Rubio Accuse Each Other of Repeating Themselves

Carson Coins New Phrase: 'Fruit Salad of Their Life'

Who won tonight's GOP debate in Houston?

According to a Texas focus group, Marco Rubio was the clear winner.

But his strong performance wasn't enough to keep many members from voting for Donald Trump.

On a special post-debate "Kelly File," Frank Luntz got their reactions.

Luntz asked the group why, despite a strong performance from Rubio, they were still talking about Trump.

"I think the reason we're talking about Trump is because he's somebody who's accomplished something, versus just an orator. Maybe Rubio was the best orator tonight...but can he accomplish things?"

"Rubio's a great orator. It was like student council tonight. But didn't we just elect an orator twice in a row. How do you feel about that?"

Members of the group said Trump did not perform well on the debate stage.

"This was the first debate where they've actually talked about policy issues, and Trump did not look like he belonged on that stage."

"(Rubio) came at Trump and Trump did not respond well."

"The job of the president is not to hire people. I want to know is he going to create the environment, and if he can, he can have my vote."

They also had more good things to say about Rubio.

"I thought he was more knowledgeable about the issues."

"Rubio is charming. He's got a little boyish face, he come across as just that all-American boy. And that's what he did...He zinged Trump several times."

"He didn't seem like a mechanical robot, like he usually does when he comes on. This time he was more personable, you know it was snap snap snap, it wasn't something he memorized. It didn't appear that way."
