Kanye West's Backstage 'SNL' Meltdown Caught on Tape
Warning: the clip contains profanity.
We're now hearing an audio tape of Kanye West's backstage meltdown before his "Saturday Night Live" performance.
The rapper and husband of Kim Kardashian West was apparently upset over changes made to the stage before his performance.
The New York Post, which obtained the audio, reported that Lorne Michaels had to personally convince Kanye not to walk out while the live show was going on.
In the clip, West reportedly yelled at production staffers, repeatedly screaming, “Don’t f*** with me!"
He again mentioned Taylor Swift, branding her a "fake a**" and then ranted about being more influential than Stanley Kubrick, Apostle Paul and Picasso.
Earlier this week, Swift made headlines for her acceptance speech at the Grammys in which she hit back at West, without mentioning him by name.
"I want to say to all the young women out there: There are going to be people along the way who will try to undercut your success or take credit for your accomplishments or your fame. But if you just focus on the work and you don’t let those people sidetrack you, someday when you get where you’re going, you’ll look around and you will know that it was you and the people who love you who put you there. And that will be the greatest feeling in the world," she said.
