A baby in China miraculously awoke in a morgue as workers were preparing to cremate him.

A local TV station reported that the boy began to moan as workers were making their preparations, and after he had spent 15 hours at just over 10 degrees Fahrenheit.

The baby named An An was born prematurely last month in the eastern province of Zhejiang. After 23 days in an incubator, An An's father took him home for Chinese New Year. But his condition quickly worsened, and he was rushed to a hospital.

A doctor determined that the boy's heart had stopped beating and issued a death certificate.

But the boy wasn't dead.

"It's the first time I've seen this. It's a true miracle," said a doctor at Pan'an hospital.

The miracle may be short-lived. An An is currently under intensive care and doctors say they're cautious about his chances of recovery.
