A Tennessee high school cheerleading coach has been removed from her position after she was caught on camera apparently trying to trip an opposing school's cheerleader.

In a video posted to social media, Grundy County High School cheerleading coach Teresa Fann can be seen approaching a cheerleader from rival Sequatchie County High School as she does a tumbling routine across a basketball court.

The video shows Fann stick her foot out in an apparent attempt to trip the teen as she back handsprings down the court.

Some people who saw the incident and watched the video say Fann deliberately tried to trip the cheerleader. But many others have come to Fann's defense on social media.

A petition is reportedly circulating to reinstate Fann as cheerleading coach.
