After ISIS-Inspired Attack, Philly Cops No Longer Patrolling Alone

A suspect has been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of an Ohio police officer.

That suspect, Herschel Ray Jones, has a criminal history dating as far back as 2001, FoxNews.com reported.

His ex-girlfriend had alerted police last night that Jones was dangerous and may have been looking to harm a police officer.

The sheriff’s office then tried to make contact with Officer Thomas Cottrell, launching a search when he didn’t respond, Happening Now reported.

Officer Cottrell’s body was discovered about 20 minutes after the 911 call.

The police officer was found in the woods behind a municipal building north of Columbus, Ohio. His service weapon and police cruiser had both been taken.
