Searchers have found the body of a two-year-old boy who was missing for the past week in the woods near his Tennessee home.

Noah Chamberlin was located in a clearing about 1.5 to 2 miles away from where he was last seen.

A local fire chief said that particular area had only been searched once, despite hundreds of law enforcement and volunteers scouring the area for the last seven days.

Chamberlin disappeared a week ago while hiking with his grandmother and sister in the woods near the family's home in Pinson.

Police believe he ran away from his family members to hide.

Authorities described the death as a tragic accident and do not suspect foul play.
