ND Man Arrested After Plotting to Kidnap One of the Obama Family's Dogs
A North Dakota man who allegedly planned to kidnap one of the First Family's dogs is under arrest.
Secret Service agents took Scott Stockert into custody in Washington earlier this week.
They'd been alerted that a man was driving to Washington with the intention of stealing an Obama family pet, according to Politico.
The first family has two Portuguese water dogs, Bo and Sunny. It's not clear which one Stockert allegedly intended to nab.
The agents found two unregistered firearms and hundreds of rounds of ammunition in his truck. Politico reported:
"Stockert also said his parents were John F. Kennedy and Marilyn Monroe, and that he was on his way to the Capitol to try and get $99 per month health care and announce his intention to run for president. Later, he said he was Jesus Christ."
He was released to a high-intensity supervision program and forbidden from being anywhere near the White House or the Capitol, or from possessing any real or imitation firearms.
