10 Times We Were Reminded in 2015 to Salute Police Officers

It has to be fulfilling for a father when his sons follow in his footsteps.

But how about all three of them? And on the same day...

Well, that's what happened this week for Anthony Favale, a 30-year veteran of the NYPD.

Favale watched on Tuesday as his three sons, 24-year-old Stephen and 22-year-old twins Alec and John, graduated from the Police Academy as part of the same class.

The Favales joined more than 1,200 other cadets in the swearing-in ceremony at Madison Square Garden.

“It was always a hope of mine to have three kids in the same career, let alone same class,” Anthony told the New York Post. “I thought it would be too much of a fantasy to go down this way, but the planets were aligned.”

Alec said they all hope that "maybe in 30 years" they can be as successful in the force as their dad has been.

The brothers will be assigned to different precincts, but they will all be working in Times Square on New Year's Eve, as part of the thousands of officers who will provide security as the ball drops.
