House Homeland Security Chairman Michael McCaul said on "Hannity" that President Obama is "playing Russian Roulette with national security" by insisting on taking in thousands of Syrian refugees despite intelligence warnings.

McCaul (R-Tex.) said earlier on Tuesday that the National Counterterrorism Center said it had identified individuals with ties to terrorist groups in Syria that have sought entry into the United States through the refugee program.

He told Sean Hannity that top government officials, like the FBI Director and Secretary of Homeland Security, have also testified before his Committee about the lack of a vetting process for refugees.

"First and foremost, we have to protect the safety of Americans. We're a humanitarian nation, but let's get this thing right before we start bringing in tens of thousands of Syrians," McCaul said.

McCaul's bill, which passed the House with a veto-proof majority, requires congressional approval on the resettlement of refugees.
