A Kentucky police department posted unbelievable dashcam video of a police cruiser striking a deer that seemed to dash out of no where.

The impact sent the buck hurtling through the air in a full 360. He got up as quickly as he went down and ran off into the woods.

Kenton County police said, as far as they can tell, the buck is okay. The cruiser, however, sustained some damage.

The department attempted to turn the incident into a "training video" on how to handle animal collisions.

"Although (the officer) didn't manage to avoid the collision, he did maintain control of his vehicle throughout the entire incident, even when the large (but apparently agile and acrobatically trained) deer was performing a Triple Axel over the hood of his cruiser," the department wrote.
