Barber Mike Shelton wanted to encourage a young customer to work hard in school, so he struck a unique deal with him.

Shelton promised nine-year-old Kamarian Fox free haircuts at Next Level Barbershop in Gastonia, N.C., if he earns good grades.

On November 16, Fox delivered, showing Shelton straight A's on his first report card.

On "Fox and Friends Weekend," Shelton said that he had no doubt that Kamarian would be able to ace his classes.

Kamarian told Clayton Morris that he was able to do it with hard work, focus and believing in himself.

"I was just so excited that the young man took the challenge and stuck with it," Shelton said. "Now, the sky's the limit for him."
