Authorities in Colorado shared a heartbreaking-but-adorable photo of a policewoman's daughter in order to raise awareness about the human costs of drunk driving.

Colorado State Patrol Trooper Jaimie Jursevics was killed last Sunday night when a drunk driver hit her while she was on the scene of a minor accident along I-25.

The 33-year-old is survived by her eight-month-old daughter and husband.

The male driver was arrested on a charge of drunk driving resulting in death. He reportedly told police that he and a friend had been drinking beer at the Broncos game earlier in the day.

"For anyone who is planning on just having a 'few beers' and driving home after, look at this little girl," the Fremont County Sheriff's Office wrote on Facebook.

"She will grow up without her Mother. ... Is it worth it?"

Jursevics will be laid to rest today.
