Benghazi Victim’s Mom on New Hillary Emails: ‘She Is Evil, She Lies!’
The mother of Benghazi victim Sean Smith says Hillary Clinton lied to her about what caused the 2012 attack, blaming an online anti-Islam video in contradiction to what she privately said to family.
“Hillary told me that it was the video that caused the attack,” Patricia Smith told Stuart Varney on Monday. “She told me that’s what it was, and if it’s any different, she would get back to me and let me know. And she has not.”
Smith says she met the former Secretary of State at her son’s casket ceremony.
It was later revealed that Clinton and other State Department officials were warned in an email to not blame the attack on the footage.
Contents of that email were made public Friday night, stating: “The film’s not as explosive of an issue here as it appears to be in other countries in the region… And it is becoming increasingly clear that the series of events in Benghazi was much more terrorist attack than a protest, which escalated into violence.”
Clinton also wrote in a separate email to family members the night of the attack that an "Al Qaeda-like group" had attacked, killing two officers, Fox News reported.
Asked what she thought of Clinton’s testimony before the House Select Benghazi Committee, Smith said, “She lied. She absolutely lied.”
“I’m doing everything I know how to do. I wish there was more that I could do,” she continued. “Everyone believes this woman.”
She said Clinton promised to contact her if there were updates, but she has never heard back.
