A New Jersey teacher who was tardy more than 100 times in two years won't be fired, an arbitrator ruled.
Arnold Anderson, a third-grade teacher at Roosevelt Elementary School, was late 46 times this past school year and 65 times the year before.
But an arbitrator said he can’t be fired because the school district didn’t give him a formal warning.
The teacher maintains that he never missed time with students by being late to school.
Anderson, who makes $90,000 a year, has been suspended without pay until Jan. 1.
