An Alabama gym teacher brought the “whip/nae nae” into his classroom to get his elementary school students excited about working out.
Jason Paschall taught students at Harvest Elementary School a routine to Silento’s “Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)," integrating jumping jacks, push-ups and more into the popular dance.
"My students ask me daily to play the Whip/Nae Nae song while we are doing our lesson," he told AL.com. "Since they loved the song so much and many of them already knew some moves, I decided to incorporate exercise into music and get them excited about doing a cardio workout."
Paschall was named 2014-2015 teacher of the year.
