Ben Carson told Chris Wallace today that "divider-in-chief" President Obama has not been a good ally to Israel.

"All you have to do, like I have, is go to Israel and talk to average people on all ends of that spectrum. And I couldn't find a single person who [didn’t] think this administration had turned their back on Israel," Carson said.

He said that the president of the United States should draw people together behind a vision, not castigate those who believe differently.

Wallace asked Carson about a recent op-ed he wrote in the Jerusalem Post, in which he called Obama "anti-Semitic."

"I think anything is anti-Semitic that is against the survival of a state that is surrounded by enemies and by people who want to destroy them," Carson said. "And to sort of ignore that and to act like everything is normal there, that these people are paranoid, I think that’s anti-Semitic."
