Formula One driver Jenson Button and his wife Jessica were likely gassed during a burglary at a French Riviera villa this week.

The couple was on vacation with friends when thieves allegedly pumped the same gas used during anesthesia into the home's air conditioning vents.

Button and his wife were asleep as thieves broke in, stealing Jessica’s $390,000 engagement ring and ransacking another $6,000 worth of belongings from the mansion.

French police suspect Russian or Romanian gangs were involved.

The Buttons were not hurt but were shaken by the ordeal, according to the Formula One driver's Facebook.
