Charles Krauthammer agrees with many other political analysts that Carly Fiorina is the clear winner of the first Fox News Republican presidential debate.

"She won the debate. She won it going away," Krauthammer told Bret Baier, noting that Fiorina was very fluid and showed a strong command of the facts, while also being combative in going after Donald Trump, President Obama and Hillary Clinton.

Krauthammer also praised Fiorina for painting the 2016 election as conservatism vs. liberalism, as opposed to the people vs. Washington.

He said that's a classic Reagan position, and he's going to watch to see if any other candidates make the same distinction in the second debate tonight.

Tune in to the primetime debate, moderated by Bret Baier, Megyn Kelly and Chris Wallace, at 9p ET.

When it's all over, join Megyn on "The Kelly File," followed by a live "Hannity" at midnight ET.
