When Houston animal control officers responded to a call about a snake on the loose in a high-rise apartment building, they had no idea what they were in for.

At the luxury Rice Lofts building, they discovered a two-foot-long albino monocled cobra in a hallway on the building's third floor.

They used a broom to corral the deadly snake into a bag.

"That particular cobra is one of the deadliest snakes in the world," animal control officer Brian Moss said, noting that one false move could have resulted in death.

It is still unknown who the snake belonged to or how it got loose.

Animal control says it euthanized the snake, because it was just too aggressive.
