The public is getting its first look at what was happening behind closed doors at the White House when the horrific 9/11 terror attacks occurred.

Hundreds of photos were released Friday by the U.S. National Archives in response to a Freedom of Information Act request

One of the never-before-seen photos shows President George W. Bush and senior staff members having a discussion inside a secure bunker buried beneath the White House. 

Vice President Dick Cheney's staff photographer captured the historic images below.
