An England birdwatcher helped save a baby seal who was found stuck in a muddy field full of cows.

Ian Ellis first noticed that about 30 cows were “behaving strangely near a muddy puddle,” Natureland Seal Sanctuary explained on its Facebook page. He took a closer look through his telescope and found that the cows were surrounding a baby seal pup.

Natureland took in the 5-day-old orphaned pup, which they named Celebration. They gave her rehydration fluid and have been feeding her herrings to help her gain weight. She's also on antibiotics for a breathing problem.

Natureland will release Celebration back into the wild once she’s big enough and able to feed in the water without help.
