GOOD NEWS Couple Becomes World's Oldest Newlyweds After Waiting 27 Years to Get Hitched
It's never too late to say 'I do' to the one you love.
George Kirby, 103, and Doreen Luckie, 91, finally tied the knot after 27 years of courtship.
With close family and friends in attendance, the pair of lovebirds were married in Eastbourne, England on Saturday.
Luckie started dating Kirby after becoming a widow nearly three decades ago.
"It's a bit of a surprise really, after all this time, getting married again," Luckie told CBS News.
Together the pair reportedly have seven children, 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
With a combined age of 194 years, the couple beat the previous record held by a French couple, Francois Fernandez and Madeleine Francineau, who had a combined age of 191 years.
A spokesperson for Guinness World Records told The Huffington Post they are waiting for evidence from the couple before the record becomes official.
