This morning on the latest In the Foxlight, Michael Tammero sat down with actress Valerie Harper, who discussed her battle with lung cancer.

Harper said she was shocked when she was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2009 because she had never smoked in her life. The cancer has since spread to her brain.

Now, she's focused on helping others and spreading the message about lung cancer.

Harper, best know for her hilarious roles on "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" and "Rhoda," explained that the #1 cancer killer among women is lung cancer.

She encouraged CVS shoppers to make a donation to LungForce at the store's registers.

"It is stoppable early. There are many, many resources and many research developments and we don't have enough money for it," said Harper.
