A student's cell phone video appears to show a Maryland substitute teacher using a belt to discipline students in a classroom.

Will Thomas of Fox's WTTG-TV reported tonight that the incident happened last Friday at Gwynn Park Middle School in Brandywine.

He told Greta Van Susteren that the unidentified substitute teacher was reportedly using his belt to break up a fight in a sixth grade classroom.

Thomas said that the teacher is a Vietnam War veteran and that he is "well-liked by students and parents."

He reported that the school has removed the teacher from the classroom and that police are investigating the incident.
