"The Price Is Right" got really uncomfortable yesterday when the show gave away a treadmill to a woman in a wheelchair.

The contestant, 31-year-old Danielle Perez, also won a sauna. Many people jumped on social media to immediately criticize the show.

Afterwards, the show said that any contestant in the audience can play and all prizes are pre-selected.

Perez took it all in stride though, joking about it on Twitter and sharing many of the media reports that started to pop up.

She said in an interview with Buzzfeed that she's been in a wheelchair since 2004 when she was struck by a streetcar in San Francisco.

Perez, who performs at comedy shows in L.A., also said that she hopes to someday be fitted with prosthetics and then be able to use the treadmill.
