There are fears that ISIS terrorists are planning a spectacular attack in Europe to avenge the wounding of their leader.

ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi remains incapacitated due to spinal damage sustained in a U.S.-led coalition airstrike, The Guardian reported.

One of al-Baghdadi's deputies is believed to currently be leading the terror group since the self-proclaimed caliph was seriously injured in the March 18 airstrike.

Sources told The Guardian that al-Baghdadi's injuries mean it is unlikely he will be able to resume leadership of the group.

One ISIS source reportedly said that they are "planning to fight back against Europe" because "they want to take revenge for Baghdadi."
