Little Boy With Congenital Heart Defect Becomes 'Junior Police Chief'
The Honolulu Police Department partnered with Make-A-Wish Hawaii to make a 5-year-old boy’s dream come true.
Daidap, who suffers from a congenital heart defect and has had nine open heart surgeries, wanted to become a police officer. His wish was granted Tuesday when he was made a “junior police chief.”
Daidap’s day began at the mayor’s house, where he got a custom police uniform. He then headed to police headquarters, where he was given his own badge and a mini patrol car.
The little boy even got to go on a ride-along to Dave & Busters to have lunch with his fellow police. Then, he went to a surprise neighborhood block party.
