Will Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) run for president?

Dana Perino asked him tonight on “The Five” whether he will announce a presidential run at a planned event on April 13.

“I’ll announce something on April 13,” Rubio said.

“But you’re not going to have an announcement that you’re not going to run,” Perino responded.

Eric Bolling noted that if Rubio and Jeb Bush run, they could end up fighting for donors. Bolling asked: What distinguishes you from Bush?

“The time will come for comparison shopping for voters and others,” Rubio said. “I would just say that I strongly believe that the future of this country will depend on the next election.”

Rubio asked: does America want to be exceptional or does it want to be diminished?

“The fundamental question in 2016 is what kind of country do we wanna be in this new century,” he said.

Greg Gutfeld asked Rubio what he would say to critics who call him soft on immigration.

Rubio said he’s “realistic” on immigration, explaining that the U.S. has a problem that needs to be fixed, but that lawmakers can’t do it all at once.
